LPA Photographers / Andy Smith / Adobe / Multi-localism
Andy Smith has been busy recently shooting for Adobe, who commissioned Andy to capture portraits in London concentrating on the subject of multi-localism. Capturing these portraits of small business owners at work , Andy shot over 3 days in various locations in London. All shoot production including location scouting and casting was by LPA Production, LPA's full service in-house production unit.
LPA Production sourced a wide variety of business owners and locations, ensuring not only that the people in the shots were happy to be in the portraits, but also that they were within easy reach of each other so Andy was able to travel between them quickly and capture so many different portraits each day!
Overall Andy shot a total of 19 portraits over the 3 days, photographing everyone from a Fishmonger to a Beer Brewer, a Black Cab Driver to a Chef at a traditional Pie Shop, and everyone in between! There was an LPA Producer on set everyday to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we were on schedule and in budget, and also to make sure that all model and property releases were signed by those featured in the images.
Adobe also followed Andy throughout the shoot making a fantastic behind the scenes film of him in action. They also interviewed Andy to chat through his thoughts on photography and what inspires him. Andy says in the interview (which you can hear as the voice over of the video) that he sees photography as a way to satisfy his curiosity about people and places . βFor me the interest in photography was always about people. It usually starts with the people and the location and those two things together tell a story, and we build the rest around it.β
