LPA Futures / River Thompson / Cedar Communications / Ronda

LPA Futures winner River Thompson has been shooting for Iberia Airline inflight magazine Ronda recently, commissioned by Cedar Communications. Doing what he does best River was asked to travel to Marrakech for this shoot to capture a story about Gnawa music. Gnawa music is an amazingly ancient spiritual music and song where all the instruments are still made by hand and led by Gnawa "Masters" who then pass on their knowledge and skill to the next master.

When talking about the project River says that is was "one of his favourite shoots, beautiful location, amazing people and absolutely mesmerising sounds from the Gnawa musicians".
