With the deadline for LPA Futures 2017/2019 fast approaching, we wanted to give you 5 reasons why you should enter! Every two years we run LPA Futures, a competition to find the nation's hottest emerging photography talent. From hundreds of entries, a panel of handpicked industry experts select 5 photographers who will be represented by LPA as part of the Futures division. Here are some of our top reasons why you should enter -

1) Representation with one of the UK's leading photography agencies
LPA are one of the most respected agencies in the country with a roster of talented photographers shooting for some of the biggest names in the business. If you make the final 5, your work will be promoted for a two year period in exactly the same way as the main roster. We'll get you noticed by key commissioners worldwide.

2) Other great prizes
As well as representation, the final 5 will receive a host of fantastic prizes from our generous industry sponsors. These include, £250 voucher towards lighting hire, a days studio hire and a training course from Direct Photographic, £250 voucher towards a tailor-made portfolio from Delta Design, a Shine Online review of your website and online presence (worth £200), exhibition prints and a 20% discount on folio prints from Metro Imaging, one hour of legal advice from Swan Turton and a £250 voucher towards camera insurance from Williamson Carson/Chubb.

3) Getting your work in front of the judges
Even if you don’t win LPA Futures, all entries will have the work seen by our panel of industry experts and commissioners. Working for some of the most prominent agencies around, for the 2017 intake these are Tanja Adams and Helen Parker (Another Production), Sophie Chapman-Andrews (McCann London), Justin Earl (Seven Stones), Jaki-Jo Hannan (AMV BBDO), Michael Heffernan (professional photographer), Bel January (MullenLowe London), Lisa Pritchard (LPA) and Kieron Molloy (Conran Design Group).

4) Chance to shoot some great commissions
We're not promising you that you're going to be inundated with commissions over night ( although you never know!) , but our LPA Futures roster from 2015 have had worked on some amazing shoots over the last couple of years. Clients have included Kleenex, M&S, Peroni, Stella McCartney, Marie Curie, Sony, Deliveroo, Art Fund, Pilsner Urquell, Euphorium Bakery, Barrecore and Parson's Nose to name but a few!

LPA Futures is a free to enter competition and open to anyone aged 18 and over and based in the UK - why not give it a bash!
