Culture Corner/World Photo London

Culture Corner is a regular feature on the LPA blog showcasing something we think you will find interesting in the visual arts world. This month we bring you the fantastic World Photo London organised by our friends at the World Photography Organisation and taking place at Somerset House April 27th- May 20th. Packed full of interesting events, workshops and talks, there is something for everyone!. Here's just three things not to be missed at the event ....

The Sony World Photography Awards exhibition

This year marks the fifth anniversary of these prestigious awards. Last year saw winning images from some fantastic photographers such as Alejandro Chaskielberg and Bruce Davidson, so we can't wait to see what's in store for this year. 100's of images will be exhibited with various categories including 'Professional Catergory', 'Open Competition', 'Student Focus Award' and 'Outstanding Contribution to Photography'.

The Business of Photography Seminar

A day long event hosted by industry expert Lewis Blackwell. The seminar is jam packed with diverse talks and discussions on marketing, fine art and the future of photography. A range of speakers will be contributing including art directors, editors, photographers and critics.

Live Ask An Agent

And last but not least, Lisa will be hosting a live Ask An Agent session at Somerset House as part of the festival on 29th April!

6 questions will be preselected and answered on the day by Lisa at which time the discussion will be opened to the floor to hear other experiences and ask further questions. If your question gets chosen you will not only win guest passes to the event but also a copy of Lisa’s guide to becoming a successful photographer ‘Setting Up A Successful Photography Business’, and of course get your question answered live!

Please send your questions to askanagent@lisapritchard.com, with 'Live Ask An Agent' in the subject line of the email, by Monday 23rd April 2012.
