AOP Awards 2017 / LPA Shortlisted Photographers

LPA are delighted to announce that two of our photographers have been shortlisted for the AOP Awards this year! Longstanding LPA photographers Nick David and Andy Smith have both been nominated for their fantastic moving image work.

Nick David's shortlisted film is his documentary on the production of Harris Tweed, created in collaboration with videographer Jack Flynn and commissioned by the Harris Tweed Authority! Working on remote Islands Lewis and Harris, Nick shot both the film and also the stills for the project, perfectly capturing the unique history and method behind the product.

For Andy it is his film in collaboration with The Loch Ryan Oyster Fishery Co Ltd. Shot on location in Scotland, this beautifully filmed documentary captures the tranquility and peacefulness of the fishing boat, the Vital Spark, and it's crew fishing for oysters.

The whole LPA team will be there at the AOP awards evening next Thursday supporting Nick and Andy. Come and say hello!
