Will Hartley recently visited Lake Como (Lago di Como) in Italy with his girlfriend Chiara, capturing images while out there making the most of the beautiful light and scenery.

Will says that it’s a place Chiara has visited for years with her family, (who also sometimes join them there) and it’s now become one of his favourite places to go away together and be in their own little world. Chiara’s grandad was an architect and built a house on the lake with easy access to a small rowing boat at the bottom.

The couple spend their days taking the boat out and finding small hidden corners on the lakeside to have picnics on, or jumping off into the water as the sun starts to set, with Will capturing images along the way.

He says that this project is more about his girlfriend and her connection to the Lake, rather than a project about the Lake itself.

Will says - ‘Everything feels like a dream there and I wanted to give this sense with the images.'

He goes on to say that he hopes that these images resonate with anyone who has a special place they go to escape!
