NICK DAVID / SPEEDWAY / AOP AWARDS

Congratulations to Nick David and his film Partner Jack Flynn for their film ‘Speedway’ becoming a finalist in the AOP Photography Awards, documentary section.

‘This short documentary on the UK Speedway scene as told by a group of young junior riders.  Speedway is a fast and dangerous motorsport with riders travelling up to speeds of 70 mph on bikes with no brakes.  The race track is oval and usually consists of loosely packed shale which the riders use to slide their bikes sideways by power sliding or broadsiding into the bends.  Although declining in popularity in the UK it's still a massive sport in Europe and across the world in America and Australia.  This film was shot at various locations across the UK’ Nick David
