Kerry Harrison / Bumpy Landing
Blink and the moments passed…
As well as shooting for ad and branding agencies, Kerry is constantly out working on personal projects, including this work on the streets of London.
Looking to create some kind of mood or form from the chaos and create a document of the times we live in, Kerry will often be out for 6 or 7 hours at a time, and usually puts in around 8 miles of walking. It’s a totally instinctive way of working, as the minute you stop to think about a shot, the moment will have disappeared as fast as it appeared. It might be a glint of light bouncing off an adjacent building, a beautiful interaction, or just one of many funny coincidences that happen in a city of nearly 9 million people.
This way of working informs Kerry’s commercial work in directing actors, real people and models to be completely natural in front of camera. These first four images were shot around the busy shopping streets of the west end.
