A beautiful reportage job captured straight out of lockdown, Alice Whitby photographed an 81-piece orchestra whilst they were recording for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Symphonic Suites album.

It was a very special occasion for many reasons; it was the first live performance on stage at the Theatre Royal after it had been shut for a huge 2-year restoration project and it was also the first time many of the musicians had played and recorded as an orchestra since the start of the pandemic. An incredible occasion to photograph, you can almost feel the atmosphere in her images as you imagine being in the auditorium.

We are very happy for Alice as one of her images made the album cover and artwork!
