Nick David recently visited the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast in South Wales to capture a story on outdoor swimmers in the area having heard about the legendary Blue Tits group.
The Blue Tits are a local group of women who swim in the sea there all year round, whatever the weather! Luckily for Nick and assistant Miriam Strong the day they had chosen to shoot a bright winters day. They also had the beach to themselves when shooting, which Nick said, along with the beauty of the coastline, really helped.
Capturing both stills and moving image, Nick also worked with Will from Richardson Media to capture drone footage of the dramatic coastline.
Nick worked with Art Director Josie Gealer for this shoot to help capture the perfect images of the ladies in the water and having a post swim picnic on the beach.
Josie had this to say about the shoot, ‘We wanted to capture the joy of swimming whilst focusing on friendship and community. Nick managed to cast this fantastic group of women, I really love the authentic feel of these images.’
