LPA Photographers / Patrick Harrison / Superunion / Smith & Nephew

At the end of last year, LPA lifestyle photographer Patrick Harrison was commissioned for a very exciting shoot with Superunion and their client Smith & Nephew, a medical equipment manufacturing company. There were two legs to the shoot, a medical shoot in the UK and a lifestyle shoot in the sunnier climes of Cape Town.

For the medical shoot, we shot at one of Smith & Nephews own training facilities which made location hunting nice and easy! We held a live casting to find 5x models to play both patients and medical staff - the live casting was very important here as we had to ensure we found people who could embody these roles in an authentic manner. We had technical and professional advisors on set during the shoot to ensure the models were holding instruments correctly and using equipment appropriately, which helped make the scenes look as realistic as possible.

For the second leg of the shoot we worked with the lovely team at Gavin Schneider Productions to help us with all our South African production needs. After 4 shoot days and lots of incredibly beautiful locations and models Patrick and the team captured these lovely and genuinely heartwarming moments.
