LPA / British Journal of Photography / Portrait of Britain Awards 2019

LPA are delighted to announce that both LPA Futures winner Gavin Li, and LPA Photographer Imogen Forte have both been recognised in the Portrait of Britain Awards this year!

The prodigious awards are a collaboration between the British Journal of Photography and JCDecaux, the out of home advertising company. The awards, following exhibition and book celebrate ‘the rich tapestry of people that make up Great Britain’.

There are 100 winning entries which will be showcased on the JCDeacaux’s digital screens across the UK and the 200 shortlisted will be appearing in the book, published by Hoxton Mini Press and distributed worldwide.

Imogen Forte’s image Wilfred and Wilfred has been shortlisted and will appear in the printed book and Gavin Li’s image, Yasodhara, has been selected as one of the 100 winning images and appear in both book and on the digital boards.

This month’s copy of the British Journal of Photography features a selection of the winning images, and Gavin’s image also appeared on BBC’s This Morning Live, yesterday morning!
