LPA Pop Up Agent / Fairfax & Favor
Pop Up Agent is a handy initiative designed by LPA to help photographers without agents deal with shoot enquiries and shoot production on a job by job basis. We can either act as your consultant, offering advice, or we can take up direct contact with your client and manage the shoot from start to finish.
Creative Director Adrian Borra and Felix Parker and Marcus Fountaine, founders of luxury leather goods brand Fairfax & Favor recently approached LPA for their Pop Up Agent service. LPA managed the whole shoot for their Spring Collection, including not just lifestyle imagery but still life and moving image content.
We co-ordinated an A-list crew, featuring fashion and portrait photographer David Goldman, still life duo Wilma and DOP Steve Nielsen. With two stills requirements and moving image all to be shot on the same day, the production had to be as slick as possible!
As part of the pre-production process, LPA arranged a live casting to find one male and two female models. With the help of Fairfax and Favor’s Marketing Manager Jenny Edwards and Creative Director Adrian Borra, we invited a concise list of models who we felt would be a good match for the brief and the brand. After meeting them all and getting to know them a little better, we confirmed our three perfect models.
The varied brief required us to shoot across a number of locations on the day, ranging from a location house and base camp in North London, to a park, a pub and four street locations which involved LPA securing location permits from the council. We also had a number of large props including a Triumph motorcycle and London Black Cab, which called for many different looks to suit each story, expertly executed by our stylist Nicole Smallwood at Adrenalin Photographic and hair and make up artist Caroline Sims.
The shoot day itself was a busy one and everyone did a fantastic job. Adrian had some lovely words to say on how everything went - “The location, casting & model selection process including all pre-production meeting concluded with a seamless shoot day generating what I consider to be outstanding work against a pressured agenda. This would not have happened without the considerable knowledge and management skills of LPA” (Adrian Borra). Take a look at the final results below!
