LPA Pop Up Agent / Contractual Help

Pop Up Agent is a handy initiative designed by LPA to help photographers without agents deal with shoot enquiries and shoot production on a job by job basis. We can either act as your consultant, offering advice, or we can take up direct contact with your client and manage the shoot from start to finish.

Our consultancy service was recently called upon by a photographer (who remains anonymous) who had a few questions regarding the ins and outs of copyright. A client was asking him to sign a wordy contract in which they were essentially asking for copyright of his images. After reading through the contracts we were able to give advice on the points we felt he shouldn’t agree to and offer alternative wording suggestions for him to go back to the client with.

After outlining the specific issues with the contract to the client, the photographer was able to negotiate a fairer agreement and usage license, with both parties reaching an agreeable conclusion and a fee that appropriately represented the clients requirements. He was kind enough to say the following words about our help:
